As we all know, nonprofit staff are expected to wear a lot of hats. One staff member might act as the CFO, volunteer coordinator, HR manager, and development officer – all at once! Adding a marketing hat may feel daunting, but it doesn’t need to be. If you have nonprofit status, a computer with internet access, a basic printer, organizational programming and mission, and an audience, then you already have everything you need to become a successful Accidental Marketer!
In this workshop, you will learn about:
-how to use various tools to advance your mission, increase your brand awareness, and engage with your audience
- the accidental marketer basics including brand consistency, typography, color codes
-a plethora of free and low-cost tools that not only allow for speedy and affordable marketing but also for effective and engaging marketing
Inclusivity and wearing multiple hats go hand-in-hand. By embracing tools that are easy to use for people of all skill levels and backgrounds, nonprofits can feel empowered to invite a wider scope of individuals to bring their skills and experiences to our organizations. Stakeholders look to websites, social media, and print material to verify the legitimacy of an organization. There is no longer an excuse for your organization to sit on the side lines while other nonprofits speed by with great marketing. Attend this session to have some fun!
