Lynne V. Newman is a Partnership Coordinator under the Community Engagement Program for the 2020 Census. She is based out of the US Census Bureau’s Philadelphia Regional Census Center. As Partnership Coordinator, she is charged with managing partnership specialists who are tasked with promoting the 2020 Census by identifying challenging areas with low response rates and identifying and engaging trusted members of various faith-based and community-based organizations in the hard to count areas.
During the 2010 Census, Lynne served as a Partnership Coordinator responsible for management of partnership staff and coordination of outreach events for eleven Southern New Jersey counties and the State of Delaware. She also helped manage Partnership Specialists and outreach events in Pennsylvania and Maryland when needed. Lynne has experience in developing, instituting, and promoting outreach programs not only with the US Census Bureau but also with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. After the 2010 Census, Lynne worked for the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA), where worked in the Housing Choice Voucher Hearing program developing the Hearing procedures and coordinating all Hearings.
Lynne has a Juris Doctorate (JD) from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
