Presently Executive Director of the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce, Michael Brand advocates for the recognition of the mutual dependence of the private and nonprofit sector. In addition, Michael is engaged as a Strategic Advisor for Social Venture Partners Portland as well as Faculty for the Ice House Entrepreneur Program. He sits on the board of the Oregon chapter of the National Speakers Association, where he has achieved the level of professional membership.
Prior to moving to OR in 2014, Michael served in the third largest community foundation in PA. He holds a Masters of Nonprofit Organizations from the prestigious Mandel Center at Case Western Reserve University, where he was awarded the Premier National Scholarship. In a career dedicated to philanthropy and community leadership, Michael has raised millions, spent millions, and given away millions. He believes fervently that we have all the talent we need to create the kind of world we want – our responsibility is to help others tap into their natural ability.
